About IABSE
The International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE) is a global scientific and technical association with members across 100 countries and 58 National Groups. Established in 1929 and headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland, IABSE is dedicated to all aspects of structural engineering, including planning, design, construction, and maintenance of various structures. President Tina Vejrum leads IABSE from 2022 to 2025.
The association's mission is to enhance structural engineering practices worldwide and serve both the profession and society. IABSE achieves this by organizing conferences, publishing the esteemed SEI journal and books, forming technical groups to address emerging needs, and recognizing excellence through their Annual Awards program.
