IAFL is a worldwide association of practising lawyers who are recognised by their peers as the most experienced and skilled family law specialists in their respective countries. IAFL was formed in 1986 to improve the practice of law and administration of justice in the area of divorce and family law throughout the world. IAFL Fellows are able to provide legal advice to clients and other lawyers on all areas of family law. IAFL supports legislators and law makers across the world in the area of law reform, and has received permission to intervene in matters before the highest courts in several jurisdictions including the Supreme Court of the United States, and that of the United Kingdom and the Cour de Cassation in France.

About IAFL: International Academy of Family Lawyers
The International Academy of Family Lawyers (IAFL) is a prestigious worldwide association of highly experienced and skilled family law specialists. Established in 1986 as the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, IAFL aims to enhance the practice of law and administration of justice in the field of divorce and family law globally. In 2015, the academy changed its name to the International Academy of Family Lawyers to better reflect its mission.
IAFL Fellows provide comprehensive legal advice on various family law matters, including divorce, nullity and dissolution of same-sex partnerships, separation finances, domestic abuse, child custody and support, adoption, surrogacy, and more. Membership to IAFL is by invitation only, and the organization has a strong worldwide network consisting of over 972 Fellows from 68 countries. IAFL holds annual meetings and educational programs that facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise among international family law practitioners.
