ialeUK

Landscape Ecology UK, formerly known as ialeUK, is the UK regional chapter of the International Association for Landscape Ecology. It serves as a national forum for landscape ecology and connects people in the UK with a wider global community. The organisation brings together members with varied interests in the natural and cultural dimensions of landscapes and seascapes, including people working in research, policy and professional practice.

Landscape ecology draws on different disciplines and perspectives, and the organisation helps members explore how this field can inform their work. Its activities include events, workshops, lectures and newsletters, offering opportunities to learn about current topics, share ideas and meet others with similar interests. Its news and resources have featured subjects such as agroforestry, woodland creation and tree planting, as well as the experiences of landscape ecologists and early-career researchers. Membership is intended for people wishing to deepen their understanding of landscape ecology, build connections and broaden their perspectives. The organisation has rebranded from ialeUK and now operates through its new website, landscape-ecology.uk.
