About IAMConsortium
The Integrated Assessment Consortium (IAMC) is a scientific research organization focused on advancing integrated assessment modeling and analysis. Established in 2007 following a call from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), IAMC leads the development of new scenarios for climate modelers. Founded by John Weyant, Nebojsa Nakicenovic, and Mikiko Kainuma, IAMC's primary goal is to provide scenarios to the research community.
Notably, IAMC introduced the Representative Concentration Pathways (RCPs) in 2008 to aid in climate modeling experiments. Over the years, IAMC has evolved, fostering greater transparency, community participation, and flexibility in its operations. The organization offers memberships, awards, and scientific working groups focusing on data protocols, diagnostics, and scenarios for climate analysis.
Additionally, IAMC provides resources like projects, models, and tools for research purposes. Stay informed with IAMC's newsletter and connect with them to contribute to impactful scientific advancements. Contact IAMC at iamc@iamconsortium.
