About متاحف دار الفنون الإسلامية House of Islamic Arts
Welcome to House of Islamic Arts, the first museum of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dedicated to Islamic arts. Our museum houses over a thousand pieces of art that represent 15 centuries of Islamic art history from countries across the Islamic world.
Explore our exhibits to discover the rich heritage of Islamic culture. From pottery and glassware, showcasing the evolution of craftsmanship among Muslims, to Islamic metals that highlight the variety of minerals produced during the era of Islam. Our collection also includes more than 500 Islamic coins, spanning from the era of the Prophet until the modern era.
Experience the convergence of civilizations through our displays of ceramics, metals, decorative arts, and more. Discover the beauty of calligraphy and manuscripts, including Qur’anic manuscripts dating from the second to the fourteenth century AH. Finally, marvel at the textiles used to cover the Holy Kaaba and the Prophet's Chamber.
