About Islamic World Academy of Sciences
The Islamic World Academy of Sciences (IAS) is a prestigious organization that serves as a science advisory body for the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC). But it's not just an advisory body – the IAS has three other important functions. First, it is a learned society that promotes the values of modern science, recognizes scientific achievements, and spreads scientific breakthroughs through meetings and publications.
Second, it provides a forum for discussions on science and technology-related issues. Third, it serves as an academic repository of the history of science, particularly within the Islamic civilization, with many of its Fellows and associates being experts in this field. Additionally, the IAS supports innovative and impactful research by outstanding individuals within the OIC.
With its international status and a membership consisting of top scientists, Nobel Laureates, and business leaders, the IAS has been recognized as the voice of science and technology in the Islamic world
