About Iawah
Camp IAWAH is a well-established brand that offers a range of products and services centered around personal growth, adventure, and faith. Founded in 1956, IAWAH started as a non-denominational summer camp and has since grown into a year-round center for learning and development. Located in Eastern Ontario, IAWAH is nestled amidst stunning wilderness with forests, ponds, trails, and a private shoreline on Wolfe Lake, providing a beautiful backdrop for its various programs.
IAWAH offers summer camps for kids of different age groups, including youth leadership and development programs. They also host family retreats, provide retreat facilities, and offer school programs focused on holistic personal development and growth in faith. Their dedicated staff is committed to creating an environment where children, youth, young adults, and families can connect with one another, with God, and with nature.
As a non-profit organization, IAWAH is governed by the Corporation of IAWAH Christian Ministries. They have a board of directors and a year-round staff team supported by seasonal staff and volunteers who undergo a thorough vetting process. The organization welcomes members who are deeply-rooted followers of Jesus and are committed to supporting and promoting the ministry through prayer, financial contributions, volunteering, and attending important meetings.
IAWAH's vision is to grow deeply-rooted followers of Jesus who are equipped for God's harvest. They achieve this vision by focusing on planting seeds of faith, nurturing disciples, and cultivating godly character and leadership in each participant. Guided by their core values—Christ, Scripture, Creation, Relationships—and grounded in core beliefs, IAWAH strives to provide a transformative and enriching experience for everyone who engages with their programs and services
