About IB Association of Japan
The Japan Association of International Baccalaureate Schools (IBAJ) is a non-profit organization consisting of schools in Japan that offer one or more International Baccalaureate (IB) programs or are in the process of obtaining accreditation as IB World Schools. The International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) is a non-profit organization that provides four educational programs, including the Primary Years Program (PYP) for students aged 3 to 11, the Middle Years Program (MYP) for students aged 12 to 16, the Diploma Program (DP) for students aged 17 to 18, and the Career-related Program (CP) to schools worldwide. The goal of the Japan Association of International Baccalaureate Schools is to support IB and work towards the overall improvement of IB schools in Japan by providing professional support, information, and a network of services.
Currently, there are 106 IB World Schools in Japan, with new schools being accredited in the past six years. The association facilitates opportunities for staff and students of member schools to interact and support the IB program
