About IBCOL
IBCOL, also known as the International Blockchain Olympiad, is an annual competition that was founded in 2017. The competition is designed for students to utilize Web3 and blockchain technology to solve real-world problems. Now entering its 6th year, IBCOL is set to host its 2023 finals in Amsterdam.
This event offers participants the opportunity to showcase their skills, gain valuable experience, and potentially win prizes or recognition. To get started, students can form teams of up to six members regardless of age. They are then encouraged to choose a problem area they are passionate about solving, focusing on any Sustainable Development Goal(s).
After defining the challenge, participants are required to write a whitepaper and submit a video explaining their solution. Optionally, they can also create a proof-of-concept prototype. Important dates to note include the submission deadline of September 18, 2023, confirmation of delegates on October 31, and the finals taking place from November 15 to 17, 2023, in Amsterdam.
The host organization for this event is InHolland University of Applied Sciences, known for its delivery of international education and applied research. IBCOL provides an exciting platform for students to ignite innovation, transform tomorrow, and deliver our digital future
