About Suolistosairaudet ry
IBD ja muut suolistosairaudet ry is a nationwide organization dedicated to supporting people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and other gastrointestinal conditions, as well as their loved ones. We provide diverse peer support, advocate for their rights, and influence national issues related to gastrointestinal diseases. Through traditional and social media channels, we share comprehensive information to raise awareness.
We exist for individuals with gastrointestinal conditions, and by becoming a member, you support our efforts! Learn more about our association! IBD, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, are inflammatory bowel diseases. Over 58,000 people in Finland suffer from IBD, with over 2,500 diagnoses made each year. In addition, our organization also encompasses other gastrointestinal conditions such as microscopic colitis, short bowel syndrome, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), chloride diarrhea, diverticulosis, and bile acid diarrhea.
