Iberinsect is a biotechnology company specializing in the breeding, production, and processing of Tenebrio molitor, commonly known as the mealworm, and its derivatives. Using its own technology and a qualified team, the company develops insect-based ingredients and aims to offer nutritious alternatives that use natural resources more efficiently and reduce environmental impact.
Its products serve several sectors of animal nutrition. For pets, Iberinsect supplies insect protein rich in essential amino acids, fats, minerals, and vitamins, described as easily digestible and energy-rich. Its Iberfeed insect meal is designed for aquaculture, providing digestible protein, essential amino acids, and fatty acids for fish feed. In poultry and pig farming, insect-derived ingredients offer an alternative to conventional feed meals. For soils and crops, Iberfrass is an organic insect fertilizer containing nutrients, organic matter, chitin, and minerals.
Iberinsect also undertakes research and development projects, supporting the identification and development of insect-based solutions for animal nutrition.
