Ibermuseos is a brand that has been working since 2007 to strengthen museums in the Ibero-American region. Their mission is to enhance the value of museum heritage, promote the training and mobility of professionals in the field, facilitate the production and exchange of knowledge, and foster the development of networks for the promotion of public policies in the sector. One of the exclusive and innovative tools offered by Ibermuseos is the Guide to Museum Sustainability Self-Evaluation, which encourages sustainable practices in museums.

They also provide scholarships, training, and capacity-building programs, as well as exchange opportunities for museum professionals. The 10th Ibero-American Museum Meeting (10º EIM) took place in Mexico City from September 26th to 28th. Experts, researchers, cultural managers, and museum workers from the Ibero-American region participated in conferences, panels, workshops, and meetings.

The theme of the event was The Urgent Museum: Action for a Sustainable Future, where participants reflected on the role of museums and identified strategies for inter-institutional strengthening, governance, and public policies. Ibermuseos also offers the Ibero-American Museum Registry (RMI), a digital platform that aims to promote the diversity of museums in the region. The platform provides fundamental information about the museums integrated into the project, offering a comprehensive overview of these institutions in the Ibero-American context.
