IBFAN, the International Baby Food Action Network, is a global alliance of over 148 public interest groups spanning across 108 countries. Comprised of health workers, parents, and consumer organizations, IBFAN is dedicated to advocating for social justice, human rights, and environmental protection. Each autonomous IBFAN group operates independently and funds its activities following the Seven Principles of IBFAN, without accepting contributions from companies manufacturing baby products.

IBFAN's core focus on promoting breastfeeding and child nutrition aligns with broader efforts to create a nurturing environment for children's health and well-being worldwide. The organization's history is rooted in pivotal events like the establishment of the International Code of Marketing of Breast-Milk Substitutes, driven by grassroots movements and advocacy.
