The Ikatan Bidan Indonesia (IBI) Kabupaten Wakatobi is the Wakatobi branch of Indonesia’s professional midwives’ association. IBI works to unite, support, and develop midwives across the country, promoting professional standards, education, and ethical practice. Its stated mission includes contributing to improved maternal and child health in Indonesia.

The Wakatobi branch’s website shares information for members and the public about the organization, including its leadership, history, vision, membership, and professional identity. It also features news, announcements, research, training, events, and photo galleries. The broader IBI network organizes professional learning and development activities, including training programs and scientific meetings, and advocates for midwives’ professional interests and opportunities. These activities help members keep informed, build their capabilities, and engage with issues affecting midwifery practice.

Based in Wakatobi, Southeast Sulawesi, the branch connects local members with the wider IBI organization and its regional and national network. The site presents IBI as a professional organization rather than a provider of direct clinical services, with its work centered on strengthening the midwifery profession and supporting better maternal and child health.
