Independent Beira Logistics Terminals & Services (IBLTS) is a leading inland container depot in Beira, located next to the main EN6 highway and just 13km from the port. This proximity to the maritime action – without the quayside restrictions – means the company can make the most of the Beira Corridor and deliver its clients efficient logistics options. Within the 160,000m2 facility, there is 24,000m2 of covered storage and an additional storage yard of some 60,000m2. Completing the picture is a secure bonded area dedicated to transit cargo, as well as a smaller local area allowing for storage of local cargo. Break bulk and bulk products comprise the majority of the business, which includes minerals, sugar and tobacco, but every commodity receives the same expert care from the J&J Group company. IBLTS employs dedicated high-security systems, including patrols, access control at gates and CCTV surveillance around the clock. 2 weighbridge’s monitor trucks entering and leaving the terminal and a state-of-the-art electronic data interface provides real-time gate information. IBLTS has a wide portfolio of import and export customers in Mozambique, as well as across Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe and the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.
