The IBS Center for Climate Physics (ICCP) at Pusan National University (Busan, South Korea) is dedicated to advancing the understanding of natural climate variability, man-made climate change and their impacts on the hydrological cycle, regional processes, ice-sheets and sea level. ICCP seeks to develop new frontiers in earth system science by utilizing high-performance computer simulations and paleo-observational analysis. The primary goal is to make breakthroughs in the understanding of our climate system, its predictability and its interactions with humans. We will provide basic scientific knowledge on the evolution of the climate system and its environmental and potential socio-economic impacts. This information will help the general public and policymakers in planning, decision making, and in optimizing adaption and mitigation efforts to climate-induced risks.

About IBS Center for Climate Physics
The IBS Center for Climate Physics (ICCP), located in Busan, is at the forefront of earth system science research. Their mission is to expand our understanding of climate dynamics and improve our ability to forecast decadal earth system outcomes and long-term projections.
