The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) is London’s leading space for contemporary culture. We commission, produce and present new work in film, music, performance and the visual arts by today’s most progressive artists. In our landmark home on The Mall in central London, we invite artists and audiences to interrogate what it means to live in our world today, with a genre-fluid programme that challenges the past, questions the present and confronts the future.

About Institute of Contemporary Arts
The Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) is London’s foremost destination for contemporary culture. Established in 1946 by a collective of artists, poets, and their supporters, the ICA is dedicated to the commissioning, production, and presentation of innovative work across various disciplines, including film, music, performance, and the visual arts. Located on The Mall in central London, our landmark home invites artists and audiences to explore the complexities of our modern world.
Our diverse and genre-fluid program challenges the past, questions the present, and confronts the future. We encourage collaboration and cross-pollination between art forms, hosting club nights, film festivals, gigs, exhibitions, talks, and digital art experiences. With a legacy that spans visionary artists such as Kenneth Anger, Kathy Acker, Jackson Pollock, and Jean-Michel Basquiat, we continue to reflect and represent the disparate and diverse range of cultures and identities that make up our society.
Our commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion is central to our vision. We strive to create an environment where everyone feels valued and welcome. Through regular assessment and initiatives, such as our Anti-Racism Strategic Plan and Equality and Diversity Policy, we actively work towards becoming a truly inclusive organization.
As we celebrate our 75th anniversary, the ICA remains resolute in our mission to champion risk-taking and innovation, providing a platform for the creative voices of today and paving the way for the next generation. Join us on this vibrant journey of contemporary art and culture at the ICA
