The Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) of Mauritius is a body corporate dedicated to combating corruption and promoting accountability. It is administered and managed by a Board consisting of a Chairperson and two other members, with the Director-General of the Commission serving as the Chairperson. The ICAC's functions, outlined in the Prevention of Corruption Act 2002, include educating the public about corruption, enlisting public support in fighting corruption, receiving and investigating allegations of corruption offences, monitoring the implementation of contracts awarded by public bodies to ensure transparency, examining the practices of public bodies to detect corruption, advising and assisting public bodies in eliminating corruption, and collaborating with international institutions to combat money laundering and corruption.

The ICAC also works to identify the causes and consequences of corruption on Mauritius' social and economic structure through research projects. Additionally, it takes measures to counteract money laundering and collaborates with the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) in achieving common objectives.
