About I CAN
I Can! is a brand that was established in 2010 with the aim of providing training and employment opportunities for adults with disabilities. Founded by Alison Smeeton in conjunction with PMI, a subsidiary of Adcorp Holdings, I Can! started the first Disability Academies to offer an integrated socio-economic solution for individuals with disabilities. Initially focusing on learning and employment opportunities within a mainstream South African business environment, I Can! has since expanded its services to include disability placement solutions.
These solutions aim to integrate individuals with disabilities into the workforce effectively. In 2017, I Can! was acquired by Adcorp Holdings Limited, allowing them to broaden their scope of qualifications and explore different training delivery models. PMI, a registered Private Higher Education Institution accredited by the CHE, ensures that I Can! is equipped to offer qualifications and skills programs across 8 SETAs.
With a commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities, I Can! continues to make a positive impact by bridging the gap between training and employment in South Africa
