ICC

ICC is a non-profit, non-political and non-religious institution dedicated to researching and developing projects that support climate change mitigation and adaptation across the Mesoamerican region. Its work addresses interconnected environmental and community needs, including water, forests, watersheds, biodiversity, soils, risk management, corporate sustainability, community adaptation and capacity building. Through its projects and knowledge-sharing activities, ICC supports efforts to strengthen resilience and promote sustainable management of natural resources.

The institution also provides public access to climate and weather information. Its hydrometeorological information system shares data from automatic stations in southern Guatemala and El Salvador, including rainfall, temperature, humidity, solar radiation and wind conditions. A precipitation map presents weather data through multiple visualizations, while the meteorological station network offers further information for researchers, scientists, educators, students and the general public. ICC publishes research and other materials through its library, and shares news about its projects and partnerships. With offices in Guatemala and El Salvador, ICC connects regional expertise with practical climate and environmental initiatives.
