Icehorse Festival is an international celebration of Icelandic horses and the world’s largest indoor WorldRankingList competition for the breed. Held at Messecenter Herning in Denmark, the 2026 festival takes place from 9 to 12 April, with competition in the Equsana Arena and stabling and warm-up facilities in exhibition hall Q. More than 280 riders are expected to compete in Sport A and Sport B classes, alongside more than 250 Icelandic horses.
The four-day event brings together elite sport, entertainment, education and shopping. Visitors can watch competitions and finals, enjoy shows and the Futurity Class for young talents, and attend DI Talks, with lectures included in the ticket. A large exhibition area features a broad range of products and equipment for horses and their owners. The festival also provides visitor information and services, including tickets, livestream access, results, an event program, exhibitor listings and accommodation information.
