IceInSpace

IceInSpace is a vibrant community website that fosters amateur astronomy across Australia and New Zealand. Launched in 2004, it began as a personal project by Mike Salway and has since evolved into the largest and most active amateur astronomy platform in the Southern Hemisphere. The site offers a wealth of resources, including forums for discussion, equipment reviews, articles, and astrophotography tips, allowing stargazers to connect and share their passion for the night sky.

Members can freely join to interact, ask questions, and access various features that enhance their learning experience. Additionally, IceInSpace hosts the annual IceInSpace AstroCamp, a star party in the Hunter Valley where astronomers can gather to observe the cosmos together. As a community-driven initiative, IceInSpace emphasizes the sharing of knowledge, helping newcomers navigate their entry into the hobby while promoting a friendly and supportive atmosphere for astronomy enthusiasts
