About CHaPO
CHaPO is a non-profit organization dedicated to environmental research, sustainability, conservation, education, and advocacy in Trinidad and Tobago, the wider Caribbean, and beyond. Led by passionate individuals like Dr. Kelly Kingon, CHaPO strives to protect ecosystems and species, promoting environmental research and conservation with a focus on science literacy for all groups.
The organization conducts research on threatened species, habitat destruction and restoration, invasive species, and reef health indicators. They offer educational information to stakeholders, school children, and the public through various means such as seminars, workshops, and documentaries. CHaPO also works with developers, planners, and businesses to establish environmentally friendly practices that benefit both the environment and humans.
