Ichiro is a provider of bespoke, privately funded home-care services in Japan, offering support outside the public long-term care insurance system. Its aim is to help people receiving care remain comfortable at home while easing the demands on family caregivers. Services are tailored to individual needs and include personal care, such as help with bathing, dressing, meals, medication and mobility, alongside household assistance with cleaning, laundry, cooking and shopping.

Caregivers can also accompany clients to medical appointments, outings and events, or provide support in hospitals and care facilities. Ichiro offers daytime and overnight care, with arrangements available for urgent requests and extended periods of support. For clients who need medical assistance, a nursing service is available in Tokyo’s 23 wards, including health monitoring, certain medical procedures and end-of-life care.

Each customer is assigned a care concierge to discuss needs and help shape a suitable care plan. Ichiro operates across eight cities and lists service areas in Tokyo, Kanagawa, Saitama, Chiba, Aichi, Osaka, Hyogo and Kyoto
