IChTJ

The Institute of Nuclear Chemistry and Technology (IChTJ) is a research and development institute based in Warsaw, Poland, focused on nuclear science and technology. Its work spans research, education and the practical application of ionizing radiation, with activity in areas including nuclear energy, advanced reactor technologies and radiation technologies. The Institute operates accredited laboratories and participates in national and international research projects, collaborating with scientific organisations and institutions abroad.

IChTJ offers research and technical services, and shares expertise through scientific publications, seminars, conferences and public outreach. Its work includes applications such as radiation-based disinfection of cultural heritage objects using electron beams and X-rays. The Institute also contributes to discussions and projects concerning small modular reactors and the future of nuclear energy. Its activities are presented at events such as the NUTECH international conference, which it co-organises, and through its journal, Postępy Techniki Jądrowej.
