ICRML

ICRML, the Canadian Institute for Research on Linguistic Minorities, is dedicated to expanding knowledge about the situation of official language minorities in Canada and increasing understanding of the issues that affect them. As a national hub for research on official language communities in minority situations, ICRML guides the efforts of community workers, government agencies, and individuals dedicated to the well-being of linguistic minorities in Canada. Through their strategic research initiatives and collaboration with partners, ICRML conducts studies and publishes reports that shed light on the linguistic realities and challenges faced by minority groups.

Their research projects cover a wide range of topics, including digital literacy and citizenship among French-speaking youth in minority settings, disinformation among young francophones in minority situations, and the use of digital technology in research on education in minority Francophone communities. By serving as a trusted resource and fostering partnerships, ICRML aims to empower linguistic minorities and inform policies and practices that support their vibrant and inclusive communities
