About ICTAU
The ICT Association of Uganda (ICTAU) is a prominent multi-stakeholder initiative led by private individuals in Uganda. With a vision to provide professional guidance to individuals and organizations in the private sector, ICTAU offers advisory services to the government on policy-based issues. They emphasize the adoption and usage of development informatics, which involves the appropriate design, localization, development, implementation, and usage of information and communication technologies (ICTs) to achieve development goals.
ICTAU's primary goal is to extend the benefits of ICTs to all sectors and facets of Uganda through professionalism. They establish research and development projects in collaboration with renowned educational institutions like Makerere University's College of Computing and Information Sciences. This collaborative effort supports research activities and projects focused on development informatics in both private and public sector agencies throughout Uganda.
As the largest forum for ICT practitioners, managers, researchers, and policymakers in Uganda, ICTAU strives to share knowledge and experiences on technology, adoption, localization, management, and policy of development informatics. If you're interested in joining ICTAU or learning more about their work, you can reach them at the Kanjokya House in Kampala or visit their website for further information
