ICVA (International Council of Voluntary Agencies) is a global network of over 160 non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in 160 countries. Established in 1962, ICVA's mission is to make humanitarian action more principled and effective by collectively and independently influencing policy and practice. With a diverse membership that includes humanitarian NGOs, networks, consortiums, and secular and faith-based organizations, ICVA has an extensive reach and outreach of over 8,000 organizations.

ICVA focuses on five transformational areas: championing principled humanitarian action, addressing the impact of climate change on humanitarian action, being globally distributed and locally rooted, promoting diversity and inclusivity, and proactively engaging in agile collaborative partnerships. Through its regional hubs in Africa, Asia and the Pacific, the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), and Latin America, ICVA connects its members, shares experiences and information, collaborates on common issues, and engages with and influences other actors in the humanitarian sector. Guided by the ICVA 2030 Strategy, ICVA works towards achieving equitable access to quality assistance and protection for people affected by humanitarian crises, rooted in international humanitarian and human rights law.

With its values of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence, ICVA promotes innovative approaches to policy development and implementation, and advocates for evidence-based solutions.
