Idaho Running Company is a Boise-based running store that has served runners and walkers in the Treasure Valley since 1997. Guided by its motto, “Movement is Life,” the company combines footwear and gear with personal service and opportunities to connect through local activity. Its selection includes shoes for road, trail, track and everyday walking, with brands such as Salomon, HOKA, Altra, NNormal and Brooks. The store offers free, one-on-one custom shoe fittings, helping customers compare options based on their feet, stride, goals and how they run or walk.
Community is central to the business. Idaho Running Company hosts free group runs and walks every Tuesday and Thursday, welcoming all faces and paces without requiring sign-up or leaving anyone behind. It also organizes community events, including shoe demos, and provides race-day support. Customers can visit the State Street shop in Boise for fitting and shopping; the website notes that its new online store is coming soon.
