IDAlert is a brand that aims to understand and address the impacts of climate change on the emergence and spread of infectious diseases, particularly in Europe. With the planet heating up and climate change influencing various factors like temperature, rainfall patterns, and biodiversity loss, zoonotic diseases are on the rise, posing a significant threat to both animals and humans. IDAlert takes a unique approach by incorporating the One Health triangle, which considers the interactions between animals, humans, and the environment.

They develop indicators, tools, and early warning systems to track past, present, and future impacts of climate change, and work towards developing policy transformations to combat these issues. The project adopts a participatory approach, engaging stakeholders at different levels, and focuses on co-designing, co-producing, and co-disseminating research outputs that address actual needs. IDAlert also aims to improve existing tools, generate new knowledge, and produce materials that enhance evidence-based decision-making.

The brand carries out case studies and collaborates with various stakeholders in hotspot areas to gather essential data and test their approaches. With a consortium of 19 reputable organizations across different disciplines, IDAlert is at the forefront of combatting the intersection of climate change and infectious diseases
