IdeArt Ateliers is a Montréal-based small business sharing Mexican traditions through creative activities centered on Día de Muertos and its iconic sugar skulls, or calaveritas de azúcar. Founded in 2017, the business began making handcrafted sugar skulls after finding none available locally. Since then, it has offered cultural experiences for children, families, schools, businesses, and community groups across the Greater Montréal area.

Its products include handmade sugar skulls and ready-to-create decorating kits, which come with multicoloured royal icing and guidance for decorating at home or in a group. IdeArt also runs welcoming, hands-on workshops where participants decorate authentic sugar skulls with icing, edible glitter, and festive embellishments. Educational sessions introduce students to Día de Muertos, including its history and the symbolism of the ofrenda altar. Other services include private birthday activities, corporate team-building workshops, live demonstrations, festival kiosks, and cultural pop-ups. IdeArt delivers mobile workshops and takes part in festivals and events, helping participants explore the creativity and meaning of this Mexican celebration through an engaging, accessible experience.
