Se establece el Instituto Dominicano de Evaluación e Investigación de la Calidad Educativa (IDEICE), como órgano público descentralizado, adscrito al Ministerio de Educación, que tiene a su cargo la gestión de la evaluación y la investigación de la Calidad Educativa, articulado a la puesta en marcha del Modelo de Gestión de la Calidad de los Centros Educativos, con un sentido de pertinencia, relevancia, eficacia, eficiencia y equidad, como base para la toma de decisiones y la mejora continua del Sistema Educativo.
