About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Affiliated with the government through the Ministry of Health, IDI aims to foster ethical, independent, and professional physicians while strengthening collegiality and contributing to a healthy, dignified society. Its network includes 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, serving more than 32,000 members.
IDI supports the medical profession through education, scientific activities, professional information, and organizational services. Its offerings include continuing medical education, training and workshops, competency-related information, and programs such as the Anak Siaga Tanggap Rawat Luka initiative. The association also shares medical knowledge and professional perspectives through publications, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal.
Through its events, resources, and nationwide structure, IDI connects doctors and supports professional development and collaboration. Its “IDI Reborn” initiative expresses a commitment to organizational renewal, accountability, and modern, coordinated service to members and the wider community.
