About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association, known as Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI), is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. It works to strengthen medical ethics, collegiality, and professional independence, with a vision of doctors who are ethical, self-reliant, professional, and committed to solidarity with their peers. IDI also aims to contribute to a healthy and dignified society.
With 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, IDI provides a national network for its members and access to organizational information and activities. Its website shares updates on leadership, regional branches, conferences, workshops, and other scientific programs. Educational resources include information about the Indonesian Doctor Competency Examination, continuing medical education partnerships, and training such as article-writing workshops. IDI also publishes medical journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Journal of Indonesian Medical Ethics.
Through its “IDI Reborn” initiative, the association describes a commitment to becoming a more independent, modern, accountable, collaborative, and effective professional organization.
