Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) is Indonesia’s professional organization for physicians, providing a national forum that represents and connects doctors across the country. Affiliated with the government through the Ministry of Health, IDI works to strengthen medical ethics, collegiality, and professional responsibility while supporting a healthier, more dignified society. Its vision is for Indonesian doctors to be ethical, independent, and professional, and to uphold solidarity among colleagues.

IDI has a network spanning 33 regions and 242 branches, with more than 32,000 members. Through its organizational structure and regional presence, it offers access to information and activities for doctors across Indonesia. Its website features professional updates, medical education resources, scientific events, competency examination information, and training, including workshops on article writing and train-the-trainer programs. IDI also publishes medical journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal. Its agenda includes educational and public health initiatives, such as the Anak Siaga program for responding to and caring for wounds.
