Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) is Indonesia’s professional organization for doctors, bringing together members across the country through a network of 33 regional organizations and 242 branches. Its stated vision is to foster ethical, independent, and professional Indonesian doctors who uphold collegiality. IDI also aims to strengthen medical ethics and professional solidarity while contributing to a healthy and dignified society.

The organization supports the medical community through educational and professional activities, including continuing medical education, workshops, training, and information about the Indonesian Doctors Competency Examination. It publishes medical journals, such as the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics, and shares updates on scientific events, healthcare topics, and the history of Indonesian medicine. IDI also provides organizational information and access to its regional and branch network. Its “IDI Reborn” initiative emphasizes organizational renewal, accountability, collaboration, and professional independence. With more than 32,000 members reported on its website, IDI serves as a national platform for connection, learning, and collective engagement among Indonesian doctors.
