About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Affiliated with the Ministry of Health, it works to strengthen medical ethics, professional independence, collegiality, and the contribution of doctors to a healthy, dignified society. IDI’s network includes 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, serving a reported membership of 32,220 doctors.
The organization supports its members and the wider medical community through professional education, scientific activities, competency-related information, and publications. Its resources include the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association, the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics, training opportunities, and workshops on article writing. IDI also shares health information and news about doctors, medical history, and public health initiatives, including a school program focused on children’s readiness to respond to wounds.
