About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Affiliated with the Ministry of Health, it works to strengthen medical ethics, collegiality, and professionalism while contributing to a healthy and dignified society. IDI’s stated vision is to foster Indonesian doctors who are ethical, independent, and professional, and who uphold solidarity with their peers.
Through a network spanning 33 regions and 242 branches, IDI provides access to information and organizational services for its members nationwide. Its website shares association news, leadership and regional information, event announcements, and updates on the Indonesian Medical Doctor Competency Examination. IDI also supports professional learning through scientific activities, training, workshops, and Continuing Medical Education partnerships. Its educational resources include medical journals, such as the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics, alongside guidance on medical writing. Public-facing articles address health topics, including reproductive health and early screening.
