The Indonesian Medical Association, known as Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI), is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Affiliated with the Ministry of Health, it works to strengthen medical ethics, collegiality, and professional practice while contributing to a healthy and dignified society. IDI describes its vision as fostering Indonesian doctors who are ethical, independent, and professional, and who uphold solidarity among colleagues.

With 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, IDI serves a membership of more than 32,000 doctors. Its activities include professional education, scientific events, competency-related information, training, and initiatives such as the School Program Anak Siaga Tanggap Rawat Luka. The organization also shares medical and professional resources through publications, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Journal of Medical Ethics Indonesia. Its website provides information about leadership, regional and branch structures, events, news, and educational materials. Through its “IDI Reborn” initiative, the association emphasizes organizational renewal, independence, accountability, collaboration, and stronger service to its members and the public.
