About PB IDI
Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) is Indonesia’s professional organization for physicians, bringing together doctors across the country. The organization describes its purpose as advancing ethical, independent and professional medical practice while strengthening collegiality among doctors and supporting a healthy, dignified society. IDI is affiliated with the government through Indonesia’s Ministry of Health and operates through a network reported as 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, with 32,220 members.
IDI supports its members and the wider medical community through professional education, scientific activities and organizational services. Its website shares information about competency examinations, continuing medical education, training and workshops, including programs on medical writing and wound care. It also publishes medical and ethics resources, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal.
