About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association, known as Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI), is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Its stated vision is to foster doctors who are ethical, independent, professional, and committed to collegiality. IDI’s mission includes strengthening medical ethics and fellowship among doctors, while contributing to a healthy and dignified Indonesian society. The organization operates through a nationwide network of 33 regional offices and 242 branches, serving a reported membership of 32,220 doctors.
IDI supports the medical profession through educational programs, scientific activities, workshops, and information about the Indonesian Medical Doctor Competency Examination. Its website also provides access to medical journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal, as well as news and organizational updates. Listed initiatives include medical writing training and the Anak Siaga program on responding to wounds.
