Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia, with a network of 33 regional organizations and 242 branches. Affiliated with the Indonesian Ministry of Health, IDI works to advance ethical, independent, and professional medical practice while strengthening collegiality among doctors and supporting a healthy, dignified society. Its national leadership and local branches provide an organizational network for members throughout the country.

IDI offers professional education and development activities, including scientific meetings, workshops, medical writing training, and continuing medical education partnerships. It also shares information about doctor competency examinations and supports initiatives such as the Anak Siaga Tanggap Rawat Luka school program. Through its publications, IDI provides access to medical and ethics journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal. The organization also publishes health information and professional news, and convenes major events such as its national congress. Under its “IDI Reborn” vision, it aims to become a more modern, accountable, collaborative, and independent professional organization.
