About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Affiliated with the Ministry of Health, it works to strengthen medical ethics, collegiality, and professional independence while supporting a healthy and dignified society. IDI’s stated vision is for Indonesian doctors to be ethical, independent, professional, and committed to fellowship among colleagues.
With a network spanning 33 regions and 242 branches, the association serves a membership of more than 32,000 doctors. Its website provides information about the organization’s leadership, regional structure, activities, and professional development opportunities. Doctors and visitors can find updates on medical training, workshops, competency examinations, and continuing medical education, as well as news and public health articles. IDI also shares professional publications, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics.
Through initiatives described as “IDI Reborn,” the organization aims to become more modern, accountable, collaborative, and responsive. Its activities bring members together around education, ethical practice, and improvements in healthcare in Indonesia.
