The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is a national professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Guided by a vision of doctors who are ethical, independent, professional, and committed to collegiality, IDI works to strengthen medical ethics and professional solidarity while contributing to a healthy and dignified society. Its network includes 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, serving a reported membership of 32,220 doctors.

IDI provides information and services for its members and the public through its regional and branch network. Its activities include professional education, scientific events, competency-related information, medical writing workshops, and training programs. The organization also shares medical publications, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics, alongside news and health information. Through initiatives described as “IDI Reborn,” it aims to develop an independent, modern, accountable organization, with an emphasis on collaboration, organizational performance, and collegiality.
