Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) is Indonesia’s professional organization for physicians, bringing together doctors across the country and working in affiliation with the Ministry of Health. Guided by a vision of ethical, independent, and professional doctors who uphold collegiality, IDI promotes medical ethics, professional solidarity, and a healthy, dignified society. Its network spans 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, serving more than 32,000 members.

IDI supports the medical profession through education, scientific activities, and professional development. Its offerings and resources include continuing medical education, training and workshops, medical writing programs, and information about the Indonesian Doctor Competency Examination. The organization also publishes professional journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal, and shares health information and updates on its programs and events. Through initiatives such as the Anak Siaga Tanggap Rawat Luka school program, IDI also contributes to public health education. Its “IDI Reborn” agenda emphasizes organizational independence, modernization, accountability, collaboration, and renewed professional standards.
