About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. Affiliated with the Ministry of Health, IDI works to foster ethical, independent, and professional medical practice while strengthening collegiality among physicians. Its stated mission also includes supporting a healthy and dignified society. The association operates through 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, serving a reported membership of more than 32,000 doctors.
IDI provides professional and educational resources, including medical journals, scientific activities, training, workshops, and information about the Indonesian Doctor Competency Examination. Its publications include the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics. The organization also shares health information and news about doctors, medical history, and public health initiatives, such as its child injury-care program.
