The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is a professional organization that represents doctors across Indonesia and is affiliated with the government through the Ministry of Health. Its stated vision is to foster Indonesian doctors who are ethical, independent, professional, and committed to collegiality. IDI works to strengthen medical ethics and professional solidarity while supporting a healthy and dignified society. With 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, it serves a reported membership of 32,220 doctors.

IDI provides professional and educational resources, including medical journals, scientific activities, workshops, training, and information about the Indonesian Doctor Competency Examination. Its programs include medical writing initiatives and a school program focused on children’s readiness to respond to injuries. The organization also shares health information and news, and facilitates continuing medical education partnerships.
