The Indonesian Medical Association, known as Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI), is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. It aims to foster ethical, independent, and professional physicians while strengthening collegiality and contributing to a healthy, dignified society. IDI operates through a national leadership structure and a network of 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, serving more than 32,000 members.

The association supports its medical community through educational and professional activities. Its offerings include continuing medical education, training and workshops, competency-related information, and access to medical journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics. IDI also shares health information, professional news, and updates about conferences and organizational events, such as its national congress.

Through its “IDI Reborn” initiative, the organization describes a commitment to becoming more independent, modern, accountable, and collaborative. By connecting doctors, promoting professional ethics, and providing learning resources, IDI works to strengthen the medical profession and support better health outcomes for Indonesian society.
