Ikatan Dokter Indonesia (IDI) is the professional organization representing physicians across Indonesia. Affiliated with the government through the Ministry of Health, it works to strengthen medical ethics, collegiality, and professional standards while supporting a healthy and dignified society. IDI’s stated vision is an ethical, independent, and professional Indonesian medical community committed to solidarity among colleagues.

The organization operates through a national structure, with a presence in 33 regions and 242 branches, and reports 32,220 members. Its activities include professional education, scientific events, training, and information about the Indonesian Doctor Competency Examination. IDI also supports medical publishing through the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Journal of Medical Ethics, and offers resources such as medical writing workshops and continuing medical education partnerships.
