About PB IDI
The Indonesian Medical Association (Ikatan Dokter Indonesia, or IDI) is the professional organization representing doctors across Indonesia. It aims to foster ethical, independent, and professional medical practice, strengthen collegiality among physicians, and contribute to a healthy and dignified society. With a network of 33 regional organizations and 242 branches, IDI provides a national structure for serving and connecting its members.
IDI supports professional learning and development through continuing medical education, scientific activities, workshops, and training programs. Its website shares information about the Indonesian Doctor Competency Examination, medical education initiatives, and events for doctors and the wider health community. The association also publishes medical journals, including the Journal of the Indonesian Medical Association and the Indonesian Medical Ethics Journal, as well as articles on health topics and the history of medicine.
Through its “IDI Reborn” initiative, the organization describes a commitment to becoming more independent, modern, accountable, collaborative, and responsive.
